Why The Name: AMIGOS?

The name Amigos was born out of real connection — not just between clothes and culture, but between people.

Founded by Margarida Jady Tjilunda and Olwethu Radebe, Amigos is rooted in friendship, but built for something bigger: community, expression, and chosen family.

The word itself — Amigos — carries weight across borders. It’s familiar in Spanish and Portuguese, yet speaks a universal truth:

We are stronger when we build together.

Jady and Olwethu began as friends with a shared vision — two minds aligned in taste, grit, and intention. But as their bond deepened and the brand took shape, they realised it was never just about fashion.

It was about identity. Legacy. Belonging.

Amigos isn’t just a name.

It’s a declaration that luxury can be communal. That style can be soulful. That movements don’t need permission — they just need people who believe.

Every piece in Casa de Ubuntu was designed, styled, and touched by the founders themselves — and by the friends who brought their vision to life.

Because when it came time to cast this drop, they didn’t hire models.

They called their Amigos.

The people who’ve walked with them, dreamed with them, believed in this from the very beginning.

The faces you see in these pieces? That’s not a campaign — It’s community, documented.

Amigos is for those who weren’t born into it — but built into it.

And if you’re wearing this, you’re part of it too
